Senior 3G LTE Consultant

Job description:

To establish and analyse the requirements for 3G/HSPA/LTE solution

Develop appropriate specifications to enhance the delivery process and the underlying tools

Solid 2G and 3G planning skills and exposure to the LTE technologies as well as understanding of the radio

technologies.

 

Responsibilities include:

To evaluate the current customer need in the

3G/HSPA/LTE

optimisation space and the migration

To develop specification that satisfy these requirements and embed in the current delivery process and the

supporting tools

To ensure that development of the tools is fit for purpose

To manage the pilot project proving the value of the implemented solution

To support future projects by provide expert advice for the regional development teams

Network parameterization settings and eBTS interconnection planning (3G/HSPA /LTE)

 

Experience required:

Bachelor of Science in Telecommunication, Electrical Engineering or an equivalent field or relevant

experience specific to telecommunication

Extensive experience of 3G optimisation projects

Proven ability to develop solution from Vendor documentation

Proven knowledge of at least one 3G vendor equipment

Excellent of knowledge of 2G Radio Optimisation topics (parameters, KPI's, drive test analysis)

SWAP experience from 2G to 3G Network - Multi Vendor

Radio Network Planning and Optimization

Traffic KPI's: Accessibility, Retainability, Quality, Integrity and Mobility.

Good scripting knowledge to extract data and manage the network elements

Able to accurately estimate\schedule work

Ability to mediate and make the necessary software engineering decisions to ensure a future proof product

Excellent at communicating technical goals and concerns to all levels of the organisation

Sound theoretical knowledge of mobile communications

Proven analysis and synthesis skills

Detailed understanding of the 3G optimisation process in a live operator environment

Proven experience in designing and developing SW Tools

Minimum 6 years’ experience in 3G RF Network Design/Optimization, plus training in the LTE technology or

18 months experience on LTE project

Flexibility to perform tasks required by the job. Team player who is willing to work under aggressive project

timelines

Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)

Ability to make presentations via web or live to groups with more than 20 people

Ability to coordinate conference calls with client, action items, follow up

Willingness to travel and be deployed to projects on short notice domestically and internationally

Fluent spoken and written English
