Job Description:

To deliver advanced solutions that consistently deliver optimum network performance by using automation

and customisation of radio counters, KPI's, features and parameters.

Expert knowledge on UMTS, HSPA, HSPA+ signalling, parameters, features, KPI and network performance

for Huawei Equipment.

To lead teams that developed, innovated and deployed improvements to the RAN for improved

performance and efficiency.

Carry out RAN feature / parameter trials and suggest methods to improve network performance

 

Responsibilities Include:

Established and developed a RAN performance suite of advance web based tools that delivered an optimum

performing RAN network.

Identify network performance issues such as: customers and VIP issues (using Call Records), worst

performing handsets (using Call Records), worst performing cells using network statistic

Develop work-flow management to allocated problems and track resolution.

Establish and develop the RAN features and parameters team

Optimise the settings of RAN features to ensure optimum performance, include new software releases.

Innovate and develop techniques using statistical counters, hardware types, and previous settings etc to

automatically set parameters in the network

Manage a team of RAN parameter specialists

 

Experience Required:

Extensive experience of 3G RAN projects

Establish and develop the RAN KPI and counters team

Review KPIs to reflect customer perception

Report on network performance, analysed and highlighted performance problems

Develop targets for Network and RAN optimisation teams that maximised network

Proven ability to develop solution from Vendor documentation

Data Extraction from OSS and Data Analysis

 

Qualifications, Skills & Experience:

Bachelor of Science in Telecommunication, Electrical Engineering or an equivalent field or relevant

experience specific to telecommunication

Minimum 7 years’ experience in telecoms

Strong knowledge of Huawei Features / Parameters and M2000

Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)

Ability to coordinate conference calls with client, action items, follow up

Fluent spoken and written English
